Missing Eyebrows...

Dear Eyebrows,
I haven't been great to lately and for that, I apologize. I know, I know, by lately, I really mean since I was 14. I'm hoping we can move past my over plucking, waxing, and threading, in hopes you come back to me.  If there is anything I can do to speed this little process along, please let me know.

It's almost Friday!!!

Tax Free Weekend

So, tax free weekend is quickly approaching. Does everyone have tax free weekend? It's where there is not tax on school items, clothing items, and some electronics for a whole weekend. It can really save those needing these things a lot of $$. Now, I'm not in school, but I'm always down for a deal on clothes! Here's my must have list:

1- A denim dress- Denim dresses are hard to find and expensive. Challenged accepted.

Homemade Lip Gloss...

So, I saw the homemade lip gloss idea on Pinterest. There are a lot of ways you can make lip gloss, but I was looking for the speedy version. I got a container of petroleum jelly, Crystal Light drink mix (some people use kool-aid, but I only had grape kool-aid and I didnt' want purple lips today), and a container for the finished gloss. All I did was:
1) heat a bit of petroleum jelly
2) mix in and stir some of the Crystal Light
3) Done!

It turned out a pretty color, but still kind of grainy. I'm not sure how to alleviate that problem. I'm planning on enjoying this small batch and buying my lip gloss from here on out. :)

Teen Choice Awards 2012

I'm recording the Teen Choice Awards but, of course, I had to check out the fashion beforehand. Fashion wise, this years Teen Choice Awards is one of my favorites. The celebs kept it bright and summery. A lot of long, loose waves. The make-up is not overdone, with a few ladies rocking pink/orangey lips.

Lea Michelle looks like a mega star. The color, shape, and all around look of this outfit is perfection.

I'm not in love with Rebecca Black's outfit, but I'm glad to see her at the awards. People were so mean to that poor girl when her song,  Friday, came out. She's a kid! Get over it!

Kat Graham's dress is so striking. I would love to have this in my closet.

I can't think of a time when I saw Selena Gomez looking bad or even close. The pink dress and straightened hair are perfect for the Teen Choice Awards. Well done as usual Selena.

It's a typical Taylor Swift type dress, but definitely flattering. I think she looks flawless.

Hannah Simone from New Girl. I think I like this dress, but I know I like these shoes.

Hayden Panettiere is rocking so much purple and so much sparkle. Good gosh she knows me so well. Loves.

Bella Thorne does not look 15. As someone who is lot older than she is, I would love this outfit for myself.



I don't know what is drawing me to this outfit. Is it the design? Is it the colors? I have no idea.

The Past 2 Dayssss...

Work had a shaved ice truck come by Friday. I bought the strawberry/grape mix. Yummmm. It was a nice treat on such a hot and humid day.

Cosmic bowling at Dave and Buster's. Man, Dave and Buster's is fun. We also played a couple of rounds of the game where you dance and have to step in sync with the arrows. The song of choice was MC Hammer, You Can't Touch This.

Not thinking, I wore sandals to go bowling. So, I bought some stylish Dave and Buster's socks. I kind of really like them though. The group that was next to us were either very amused or annoyed by us. :) You do have to be 21 or older to be at Dave and Buster's after 10pm, and could tell everyone was wondering if we were even 21. FYI- we are, plus some.

I bought Bodycology Cherry Blossom shower gel/bubble bath at Ulta for $2.50. At Publix it was $4.39!

I love Hello Kitty!!! I've seen these purses online but not in person until today. Very cute.

I'm really getting into Bunheads. One of the creators, Amy Sherman-Palladino, created my favorite show ever, Gilmore Girls. Bunheads is worth trying if you haven't seen it. Sutton Foster, the lady in the picture, is hilarious. She is actually a Tony award winner in real life.
