I personally love any sort of fashion guide. Guides are short, sweet and to the point. They are perfect to print out and tape to your closet. And let's be honest, who doesn't need a little help here and there? I know I do.

CMT Awards 2013

The CMT Awards were last night in Nashville, Tennessee. I know a few people who have actually gotten to the opportunity to be seat fillers at this award shows! How awesome would that be!? I love me some country music. Here are a couple highlights.

Kelli looks so fit! I guess winning Dancing with the Stars is the key to a flawless body. I heart sparkle, so this dress is right up my alley.

I think this blue Georges Chakra outfit is different than what Carrie usually chooses to do. I read a magazine article with Carrie that said if she wears short shorts, she'll wear more coverage up top or longer pants paired with tighter/more revealing tops. It balances out her outfit out in a classy way.

 

How in the world did she just have a baby? Kristen Bell looks fierce in this leather Zuhair Murad number. Work girl.

Kris Kross Will Make Ya Jump Jump

I'm a secret fan of jumpsuits. Now, there is absolutely nothing wrong with them, but I can't seem to be brave enough to wear one. When I see someone in a jumpsuit, they always look so put together. Obviously, I mean it's a one piece outfit, but still so put together.

Kate Bosworth Must Have Dress

I don't want to over exaggerate, but this dress is EVERYTHING! Kate wore this Balmain dress to the Met Ball earlier this year. The dress is so stunning. I love how the clutch and shoes are just basic black, so as not to take away or clutter the look. OBSESSED!





Kentucky Derby

I know it's been a hot minute since I last posted and I have no good excuse for it. So, with that, let's jump into where I was Saturday... the Kentucky Derby! Bad news? It rained the whole time I was there! Yep, it was rainy, cold, and muddy. I hoped it was going to be gorgeous weather, making it easier to see the famous Kentucky Derby style. However, checking out dresses and suits is a bit hard to do when they are covered with rain ponchos and jackets.

I really wanted to get better pictures than what I got, but it's hard when it's raining and I'm ducking for cover under awnings.

Loved her dress and headpiece. It was kind of old school derby glam.



I'm guessing this was her boo and  what appears to be his man purse.

We will never know if these dresses were cute or not. I felt bad for the TONS of people who came out in flip flops. Their feet were soaking wet. Oh, and they probably got a light case of frost bite.



Oh don't forget about this snazzy fellow in his light blue suit, yellow tie, and white dress shoes.

Downtown Louisville statue. Still no idea what it represents. Don't really care either.

I bought these Sperry rain boots for like $25 at Belk a year or two ago. BEST PURCHASE EVER. Thanks to these boots, my feet stayed dry the entire day.

Want to go to the Kentucky Derby next year? Check the weather! Go to downtown Louisville! Be prepared to really not see much of anything to do with horses in the infield!

Oh, and some horse named Orb won the race.

Kids' Choice Fashion

Oh to be a kid again. Actually, in all honesty, I don't miss being a kid. I do miss the enjoyment I got out of watching The Kids' Choice Awards though. The days of Justin Timberlake with Nsync and his adorable curly locks, Britney Spears at the top of her game, and all that green slime. Nowadays, I get much more entertainment out of seeing what the celebs wore than the show itself. Good times.
